Different backgrounds, different perspectives, and one shared enthusiasm for fantastic cinema. Meet the juries of Lund Fantastic Film Festival 2026.
Our jurors bring experience from film production, literature, visual art, cinema technology and talent development. They will watch, discuss and debate the films in competition before deciding this year's awards.
This jury considers approaches to fantastic storytelling from around the world.
Olivier Guerpillon is a Malmö-based producer and director who runs Fox in the Snow. His productions include the surreal comedy Sound of Noise.
China Åhlander brings her experience as a film producer to the jury.
Mårten Ericson is a publisher and author with a lifelong interest in fantastic cinema and science fiction literature.
The Méliès d'Argent jury considers European fantastic films in the feature and short film competitions.
Johan Simonsson is a film consultant and Talent Development Manager at Filmcentrum Syd.
Therése Granwald teaches creative writing at Skurup and Öland folk high schools and runs Lund's literary venue Folkets hörna.
Anders Brandt is a photographer, producer and co-owner of Nova Film.
This jury considers our three short film competitions: International Short Film, Finn Fantastic and Future of Fantastic.
Fredrica Särdquist is a literary translator with a particular interest in medieval German literature.
Carolina Sandvik is an artist and stop-motion filmmaker whose work mixes horror, humour and nightmarish everyday life. Her film The Lovers won Finn Fantastic in 2024.
Jesper Furu works in cinema technology and film-distribution logistics at Filmlagret and was involved in the festival's early years.
A jury is more than a list of names: it is a conversation between people who may see entirely different things in the same film. We look forward to those conversations and to discovering which films stay with our jurors long after the credits roll.
The awards will be presented at the closing ceremony on 4 November 2026.
