Join us for Fantastic Forum, the industry platform of Lund Fantastic Film Festival. A two day event dedicated to the future of genre storytelling. We invite filmmakers, producers, students and other creatives to explore ideas, new voices, and opportunities in the world of fantastic cinema.

This year's programme focuses on short film distribution, emerging Swedish talent, and international collaboration.

Short Film Festival Strategies
Speaker: Jeanette Schjerva (Film i Skåne)
How do short filmmakers best navigate the international festival landscape—and what strategies actually make a difference?

Join Jeanette Schjerva, Commissioner for Screenings & Festivals at Film i Skåne, in conversation with filmmakers Alessandro Stigliano and Kristofer "Kiggs" Carlsson. Jeanette brings her extensive experience supporting festivals and cinemas across the Skåne region, counseling filmmakers and organizers, and leading networks that strengthen the cultural ecosystem.

Alessandro, fresh from the festival circuit with his latest short, adds the filmmaker’s perspective on opportunities, challenges, and creative approaches to reaching audiences worldwide.

Kristofer is a Swedish/Indian film director & producer with a background within music videos, commercials and TV productions. He's written and directed critically-acclaimed shorts, Spiritus Lepus and WASH and the upcoming folklore horror VÄSEN.

Together, they will discuss practical strategies and share insights on how short films can travel, connect, and make an impact on the festival scene.

Mobility Support - A Key To Networking
Speaker: Hanna Olsson (International Resource Office)

The first step to start working internationally is building a network. This can be done, for example, through attending conferences or festivals, joining already existing networks or study visits.In this session, Hanna Olsson from Trans Europes Halles and International Resource Office, will guide you through different ways to fund these mobility actions and what to think of when writing the application.

Upskilling the Next Generation: Practical Trainings for Filmmakers
Speaker: dr Anna Huth, a founder of the Audiovisual Institute, creator of film:lab and team4set, Kieślowski Film School professor.

For a very long time we have been hearing that some film jobs, you just learn on set. We believe it is high time to question it!

Drawing on examples from film:lab workshops and the platform team4set, Anna Huth shares insights into upskilling below-the-line professionals, building career pathways, and using the networking events to support emerging talent. Participants will learn about effective formats for hands-on training and innovative ways to connect education with the professional market.

Pitch Your Crew - Networking Event!

Hosted by Anna Huth and Igor Flisiak, from team4set, acting as moderators and ceremony-masters

An interactive networking format with a twist: instead of pitching themselves, participants introduce and recommend their colleagues from film sets. By turning the competitive nature of the industry into a collaborative exercise, the event highlights hidden talent, builds trust, and sparks new professional connections.

The goal is to make emerging crew members more visible, foster collaboration across disciplines, and inspire partnerships for upcoming film projects.

A showcase of fresh talent pushing boundaries in fantastic cinema, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.
