Lund Fantastic Film Festival is looking for reliable, curious and practical people to join our Fantastic Crew.
Volunteering at the festival means being part of the team that makes everything work: welcoming audiences, supporting guests, helping with events, keeping spaces organised, solving small problems before they become big ones, and making sure the festival runs smoothly.
We are especially looking for volunteers who are punctual, communicative and ready to take responsibility. You do not need previous festival experience, but you do need to be someone who shows up when scheduled, follows instructions, treats people well and stays calm when things get busy.
Most volunteer shifts take place in the days leading up to the festival and during the festival week. You decide how much time you can give, and we will do our best to match you with tasks that fit your interests, skills and availability.
As a volunteer, you get free access to screenings when seats are available, dinner during long shifts, entry to selected parties and events, and valuable experience for your CV. You also become part of a dedicated crew working together behind the scenes of one of Europe’s longest-running genre film festivals.

Volunteering at Lund Fantastic Film Festival isn’t just about giving back — it’s about moving forward.
Many of our past volunteers have gone on to become film critics, producers, work at larger festivals, or thrive in communication and media roles. By volunteering, you get insider access to the film industry, hands-on experience, and a network that opens doors. It’s a smart move if you want to grow your career in film — no matter your role or background. Step in, learn the ropes, make connections, and let the festival be your springboard.
But, what are the tasks, you may ask. Read on to see what fits you best:
Be the face of the festival! As an info desk host, you answer visitors' questions, hand out accreditations, give advice on the programme, and sell festival merchandise. A great role if you enjoy meeting people and keeping things running smoothly.
Make the cinema experience seamless! You'll check tickets, manage audience flow, and help guests find their seats. You're also the one who helps with the audience vote a and assists with Q&As. Calm, friendly, and unflappable? This one’s for you.
Make our international and national guests feel at home in Lund! You’ll assist filmmakers and professional guests with their schedules, transport, meals, and general questions. This role requires strong communication skills and a good sense of responsibility. Previous experience is required.
Be part of the team running the festival's events—from film quizzes to professional panels, and parties. You’ll handle setup, logistics, checking guest lists and making sure things go smoothly on the day. If you like variety and a social atmosphere, this is your zone.
Shoot stills or video that show the energy and heart of the festival. You’ll need your own gear, a good eye, and the drive to chase great moments.
