In the heart of a deserted housing estate stands a sealed tower surrounded by rumours and unexplained disappearances. Drawn by its reputation, a group of friends ventures inside, only to discover that the building is far from empty.

As a ruthless killer emerges from the darkness, the tower becomes a concrete maze where every floor hides a new threat and every route out leads deeper into danger.

Starring French rap stars Gazo and La Mano 1.9, No Way Down blends urban-legend horror with the muscular momentum of a 1990s action thriller, turning the high-rise into a vertical battleground rooted in banlieue culture, street mythology and contemporary French rap.

Mohamed Chabane and Théo Jourdain are French directors who developed their careers separately before beginning to work together. Chabane has directed music videos and worked with artists connected to L’Ordre Collectif, while Jourdain moved from production management into directing, with short films including Finistère and Fils de l’écume.

Together, they directed the musical comedy series ReuSS for France TV Slash, which was praised for its energy, humour and inventive use of music. Their work on the series earned them the Revelation Direction Award at the 2023 Séries Mania festival.

No Way Down marks their first feature film as a directing duo, bringing their collaborative style into genre cinema with a darker, more physical approach.
