Anything That Moves

Sex worker Liam cycles through the streets of Chicago delivering snacks and satisfaction to his love-hungry clients, while sharing both his work and his life with his girlfriend. But when a serial killer begins targeting his clientele, a trail of blood soon leads ever closer to the lovers' own bed.

Shot on lush Super 16mm, Alex Phillips' Anything That Moves is a steamy blend of erotic thriller, crime comedy and giallo-inspired horror. Equal parts funny, sexy and gruesome, this twisted midnight movie revels in outrageous characters, stylish gore and psychedelic atmosphere, while never losing sight of the beating heart beneath its sleazy exterior.

A bold celebration of queer love, horror and independent genre filmmaking, Anything That Moves is guaranteed to leave audiences exhilarated—and just a little bit sticky.

Director

Alex Phillips is a director and screenwriter based in Chicago. His debut feature, All Jacked Up and Full of Worms, became an instant cult hit on the genre festival circuit after premiering at Fantasia International Film Festival, where it won the New Flesh Jury Award. The film went on to screen at 21 festivals, including Fantastic Fest, and was acquired by Cineverse for release as a Screambox Original in the United States.

Phillips’ work is marked by transgressive humour, bodily excess and a taste for cinema at its most unruly.
