A troubled horror filmmaker retreats to rural upstate New York in search of solitude and inspiration, only to encounter Clara, an enigmatic zealot whose life is structured around sacred rituals devoted to the light.
As he is drawn deeper into her world, their relationship becomes a shifting struggle over power, belief and submission. Clara’s rituals grow increasingly physical and extreme, until spiritual devotion begins to demand the surrender of both mind and flesh. What begins as fascination gradually becomes something more intimate, coercive and transformative.
Visceral, sensual and hallucinatory, Blood Shine moves between religious obsession, folk horror and bodily transgression, building toward a feverish confrontation with the seductive and terrifying possibilities of surrender.
