The Swedish Film Institute once again supports Finn Fantastic Film Award, the Swedish short film competition taking place during the Lund Fantastic Film Festival 2026.

As part of the support, the Swedish Film Institute sponsors the Finn Fantastic Film Award with a prize sum of SEK 10,000, awarded to the best Swedish fantastic short film screened during the festival.

Finn Fantastic is one of few Swedish competitions dedicated specifically to fantastic short film and continues the festival’s long-term work of strengthening Swedish genre filmmaking. The competition showcases short films within horror, science fiction, fantasy, animation, dark comedy, thriller, and experimental cinema.

The support also contributes to the continued development of the festival’s Industry Days, focusing on networking, knowledge-sharing, and professional exchange within the genre film community.

Submissions for the 2026 edition of Lund Fantastic Film Festival 2026 are currently open.

Late Deadline: August 1, 2026

The festival takes place October 28 – November 4, 2026 in Lund.
