Näcken, who has now become world-famous and a tourist attraction, becomes a problem for the village where he resides when many children suddenly go missing. The village is forced to address the issue as the media picks up on the tragedy. The decision about Näcken’s future falls into the hands of the local council, but specifically in the hands of the mayor, Jesper. What will he choose?
