Call For Programmers

Lund Fantastic Film Festival is looking for new programmers for both feature films and short films for the 2026 edition of the festival! We welcome people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and ways of engaging with film. You might be a student, filmmaker, critic, curator, or simply someone who watches a lot of films and enjoys thinking and talking about them. What matters most is your ability to assess films thoughtfully and explain why they belong at Lund Fantastic.

  • discuss and make selection decisions together with the rest of the programming team
  • help shape the overall programme and sections of the festival

  • help with print traffic and other deliverables leading up to the festival

  • can evaluate quality, diversity, and originality across a large number of films
  • are reliable and able to keep deadlines
  • have a strong interest in genre cinema in a broad sense, including fantastic film, horror, science fiction, animation, and experimental film

Relevant experience may come from studies, professional work, festival involvement, film criticism, or long-term personal engagement with film. We especially encourage applications from people with different cultural, artistic, and professional backgrounds.

The Time Period is:

  • January to August: film viewing and selection
  • September to October: programming combined with print traffic and delivery of programme information

This is a Volunteer Position But Offers:
