Let us all join hands and sing We Shall Overcome, once and for all. Let us exterminate and bury our prejudices that ”Swedish” and ”horror film” are like oil and water. Let us then skip joyfully for Wither, a exquisitely raw mash-up of classical bloodfest á la Evil Dead and old Swedish, forest crazy folk tales!

Laguna and Wiklund have, with a multilayered, brutal script, exceptional talent in the make up department and great actors like Lisa Henni (Easy Money) and Johannes Brost (dressed in a stylish lumberjack outfit and an understandably grim face), created a piece of delightfully gory Swedish zombie history.

Albin gets a tip about a seemingly uninhabited house in the woods and takes his girlfriend and friends there for a weekend of pa-aaarty! But creatures of the underworld, creatures who can destroy you with a glance, are not happy to receive visitors. Don’t miss out on the world premiere of this blood transfusion to genre-Sweden!
