Theatre Bizarre

This French-American anthology movie follows in the footsteps
of Tales from the Crypt and The Vault of Horror. Six directors
has made one horror story each and these are connected by a
framing story about a young woman who decides to enter an
abandoned theater in the middle of the night and witnesses
a creepy mannequin (the one and only Udo Kier) putting on a
show.
The movie impresses with its selection of directors. They can
all be counted as some of the most original and interesting
active in fantastic film today; Richard Stanley (Hardware and
Dust Devil), David Gregory (Plauge Town), Buddy Giovinazzo
(Combat Shock), Douglas Buck (the short Cutting Moments
and the remake of De Palma’s Sisters), Karim Hussain (Subconscious
Cruelty), Jeremy Kasten (The Wizard of Gore 2007) and
Tom Savini (legendary special effects maker and the director
of Night of the Living Dead 1990). This is nothing for the fainthearted!
