Tales of Halloween

Two neighbors get in a fight to the death over who
has the best Halloween decorations; A woman
is stalked by a ghost who cuts out the eyes of her
victims; A genetically modified killer pumping on
the run, roams the streets. These are a few of the ten
terrors which haunt a sleepy suburbia during the
year’s most supernatural holiday.

This hell-broth is created by Axelle Carolyn (Soulmate)
in order to summon some of the wickedest
and smartest today’s indie directors. Among others
Lucky McKee (The Woman), Neil Marshall (The
Descent) and Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!). Here,
we find an enthusiastic love for Californian 80’s
frightfests, with practical effects and amazingly
funny, amazingly gory ultraviolence which brings
to mind the likes of Argento, Stuart Gordon and Joe
Dante (who suitably shows up as an actor).

Tales of Halloween falls in with the exclusive collection
of fantastic cult anthologies, which includes Tales
from the Crypt, Creepshow and Trick ’r’ Treat. A future
classic which prepares you well for the most demonic
night of the year.
