Everybody in the little Welsh village knows who Elfie Hopkins is. She’s that annoying bluehaired kid who runs around playing detective. She and her best friend Dylan cause nothing but trouble and lazying around, smoking weed. Then the Gammons’ move in next door. They’re not like everyone else. They’re better. They’re well-dressed, they do yoga and unlike everyone in the village, they don’t judge Elfie for being different. But Elfie knows that under the most perfect of surfaces, is where you find the darkest secrets. To investigate she has to get close to the Gammons. Too close.

Ryan Andrews’ feature debut has stunning cinematography and quirky characters en masse. Starring Jaime Winstone, with a guest appearance by daddy Ray, and outstanding performances by the entire Gammon family, this ”horror/thriller” is a film that sooths you with beauty and a Twin Peaks-like atmosphere while putting a sinister spin on the classic detective story.
