Attack the Block

A teen gang in South London is forced to stick together and
gather everything that can serve as weapons, including those
old fireworks. But the purpose is completely different from the
riots that have been going on in real life in Britain. Outer space
has come to pay a visit, and its monstrous population is not
kindly disposed.
Joe Cornish who among other things has played a zombie in
Shaun of the Dead, has made a sparkling alien- and actionpacked
feature debut that has critics and audience completely
capitulating. One of the producers is moreover Edgar Wright,
who last year honoured our festival with the popular super
favourite Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Attack the Block is a an hugely entertaing monster flick with lovely
photography, seething soundtrack, humour and goo, as well as
characters who through the cocky surface radiate a touching,
genuine warmth. Don’t miss this decisive battle between inner
city and outer space!
