First wave of films announced!

We are very happy to finally be able to open the lid and give you a first peek at all the cinematic treasures we will bring you this year!

We open the festival on the 15th of September with a screening of Don’t Be Afraid of The Dark, a classic spooky house horror film produced by Guillermo Del Toro, starring Guy Pearce and Katie Holmes.

Trailer

On the first Saturday of the festival during Lunds Kulturnatten we will bring you one of the years most anticipated films; Another Earth. A copy of earth is discovered and a young scientists life will never be the same. This Sci-fi film was the talk of the town at the Sundance film festival this year.

Trailer

Another film that screened at Sundance this year was Lucky McKee’s The Woman. A film that became notorious when a Youtube clip showed up online depicting a very angry man’s reaction to the film(watch the clip). The film is a very powerful and disturbing one, but also a very interesting film about powerstructures.

Thomas Malling’s Norwegian Ninja on the other hand is a more lighthearted affair. A highly entertaining film about the true story of how Arne Treholt and his Ninja force saved Norway during the cold war.

Trailer

Monster Brawl, one of biggest hits at this years Fantasia festival in Montreal combines two of the best things in life; Wrestling and Monster-movies! An extremely entertaining chair shot to head that is not to be missed!

Trailer

Finally Evan Glodells Bellflower, a post-apocalyptic nightmare from current-day Los Angeles. Filled with homemade flamethrowers, muscle cars, bromance, despair and love, Bellflower is Americana at it’s absolute finest!

Trailer

This is just a first glance at this year’s line-up, a line-up that we are very proud of. Stay tuned for more updates!
